Creation of a Single AM Entity
05/01/2026 – BNP Paribas (BNP.PA) announced a milestone in connection with the integration of its asset management activities. As per the company’s press release, on December 31, 2025, BNP Paribas’ asset management activities under the auspices of three entities were merged under a unified structure titled BNP Paribas Asset Management, which is owned by BNP Paribas Cardiff.
The three entities refer to are: (i) AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM); (ii) BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management (BNPP REIM); and (iii) BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM). The new entity is expected to combine complementary investment capabilities, global reach and long-standing expertise across all asset classes as well as different client segments and geographies.

This merger places BNP Paribas AM among the top 5 asset managers in Europe with over €1.6 trillion in assets under management (AuM). For context, the largest asset managers in Europe by AuM as of the date of this article are as follows as per the publicly available resources:
